CHEMICAL PEELINGS


It is application of chemicals on skin in controlled manner. On healing resultant regeneration results in new skin.
Most commonly used peelings are – Glycolic peels, lactic acid peels, Salicylic acid peels, TCA peels.



  Is it painful ?

Skin may feel hot and stinging. This is tolerable. Topical anesthesia is not needed.

  What Precautions should I take ?

In case of superficial not much precautions are required. But in case of deep peels like TCA strict sun avoidance for some time is recommended.
